Obamacareis no good.
To Trump, Obamacare is not that good. Take other people's money to help poorer people. To do this, we must increase the taxes, this is why Trump said that Obamacare is too expensive.
ou're both speaking at the same time
They were speaking at the same time. They didn't let the other completed his arguments.
there are 20 million people getting healthcare through Obamacarenow that he wants to take it away.
Biden's argument: Trump was getting away the healthcare aid of people who are qualifying Obamacare.
what this clown's doing
Personal attack
You graduated last in your class, not first in your class.
Personal attack. Trump attacked on Biden's academic accomplishments. He didn't let Biden had a chance to finish his speech.
The fact is that everything he's saying so far is simply a lie. I'm not here to call out his lies. Everybody knows he's a liar.
He kept attacking Trump by saying he was a liar but couldn't give evidence.
It's only for those people who are so poor they qualify for Medicaid.
Only poor people can qualify for Medicaid
We're going toallow our governors now to go to other countries to buy drugs –
go to other countries and just need a tiny fraction to buy drugs. It was so cheap.
I'm cutting drug prices. I'm going with favored nations, which no president has the courage to do,because you're going against big pharma.Drug prices will be coming down 80 or 90 percent.
His plan is cutting the drug prices.
to protect people with preexisting conditions 5 daysbefore this debate. So, my question, sir, is what is the Trump healthcare plan?
Question: What is Trump's healthcare plan is? Because Trump was always opposed Obamacare, so the host was asking what is Trump's plan to replace Obamacare.
CHRIS WALLACE:Okay, I, I didn't ask –DONALD TRUMP:–part of Obamacare.CHRIS WALLACE:Sir –
President Trump still didn't let the host to finish his question.
you've had 308,000 military people dyingbecause you couldn't provide them proper healthcare in the military.
Biden was not doing good on his healthcare plan.
What does it mean for them going forward if you strike down the Affordable Care Act and
For this one, I don't really agree with Biden, all people in our country are suffering because of Covid-19. And also other countries from all over the world. What will he do to help every single person? Increase taxes to increase funds for insurance companies? But the economy is going down, how can our people pay for higher taxes?
socialist
He keeps repeat it.
socialist
again, Trump is very aggressive.
expand Obamacare, and we increase it.
expand Obamacare, Biden wants to focus on healthcare.
socialist
Appeal to fear: Americans are definitely fear of socialist. A little attack form Trump to Biden.
That's simply not true.
Biden couldn't make a counter argument with clearly evidence.
The election has already started.
Appeal to ignorance: the election has started doesn't mean Trump's term is ended.
But a President is elected for 4 years. We're not elected for 3 years. I'm not elected for 3 years. So, we have the Senate. We have a President.
Right here, Trump was stating that his term is not ended yet.
If he wins the election and the Senate is Democrat or Republican, then it–he goes forward. If not, we should wait until February.
For overall, Biden was saying that President Trump should wait until February, until the election of 2020 finishes, then if Trump won the election again, he can pick a nominee. To Biden, President Trump was in rush to bring his people to the Supreme Court before his term is going to the end. So that Trump is abusing his power.
My opinion: At that time, the election of 2020 didn't have the result yet. So it's still a term of President Trump. Trump totally has a right to nominate Barrett.
Affordable Care Act
Fallacy: appeal to ignorance Joe Biden supported this act, he thought that it would help many people, but it doesn't mean that everyone would support it too. Other people have to pay higher taxes, so that these insurances, heath care have funds to do their supporting jobs. The ways Trump and Biden want to run the country are different, so Biden couldn't accuse Trump for getting rid of this act.
If they had, the only difference is they'd try and do it faster. There's no way they would give it up. They had Merrick Garland, but the problem is,they didn't have the election, so they were stopped, and probably that would happen in reverse also.
Fallacy: Slippery slope. He seemed to go out of the main question. Democrats didn't win the election and couldn't nominate Merrick Garland is not a main reason to make him nominated Justice Barrett.
Uh, we have a professor at Notre Dame, highly respected by all, saysshe's the single greatest student he's ever had. He's been a professor for along time at a great school, and, uh, we just, uh, we won the election, and therefore we have the right to choose
The evidence to see how outstanding Justice Barrett is.
top academic
The reason why Justice Barrett has potential.
I will tell you very simply, we won the election. Elections have consequences. We have the Senate. We have the White House, and we have a phenomenal nominee
President Trump was saying that he won the election, so of course he had the right to nominate anyone he thought will doing the job of the Supreme Court well. There is nothing to argue over it.
My first question to both of you tonight, why are you rightin the argument you make, and your opponent wrong, and where do you think a Justice Barrett would take the Court?
Question: Why President Trump and Vice President Biden thought their argument was right, and what was the position Justice Barrett should take in the Court?
My answer (Trump's position): The Constitution states clearly that the President has the right to nominate the judges for the Supreme Court. Then the legislative branch will vote to decide whether that nominee receives the agreement of the majority to become the next judge or not. So the power is not placed into the President's hand only, but also depends on the legislative branch. Also, in the legislative branch, Democrats controls the House and Republicans controls the Senate. You can see that my political party is not controlling this whole branch. So you cannot say that Republicans is spreading their power. This is the way we keep balance to our central government's system. So you cannot say that I'm abusing my power. Nominating a judge is my right, and I see that Justice Barrett deserves it based on her accomplishments, so I nominated her. That's all.
