      Unfortunately, many third party libraries, even though they are written in ESM, are published to npm as CJS modules, so we still need to concatenate them.
      holdover unfortunate better/superior solution/way to do something slow to upgrade/switch to latest version/current best practice/way of doing things CommonJS modules
