      Case: F, 70Y0M, Ethnicity Unknown

      DiseaseAssertion: Assumed VHL

FamilyInfo: 6 members of this family tested positive for the c.496_506del germline variant of the VHL gene. ID 4 presented with CNS hemangioblastoma, retinal angioma and renal and pancreatic abnormalities. ID 1, 25 and 8 were asymptomatic.ID 22 presented with CNS hemangioblastoma. ID 5 presented with retinal angioma. 2 members were assumed to have the variant but were not genetically confirmed (ID 20 and ID 11). ID 11 presented with CNS hemangioblastoma.

VariantEvidence: Authors state that the c.496_506del germline familial variant of the VHL gene in this patient is “inferred from the family”. No genetic testing is done to confirm this. It is unclear from the publication if this variant is reported according to legacy (AF010238.1) or NM_000551.3 reference sequence. Clinical notes from the case confirm the reference sequence to be NM_000551.3.

      Case: F, 43Y0M, Chinese

      DiseaseAssertion: VHL

FamilyInfo: a 3 generational family found with 5 phenotypically affected members, two of which were confirmed with the exon 1 deletion. This patient and her son were tested to be found with the deletion of exon 1. Her son was found with retinal angiomas at 17Y, pancreatic cysts and epididymal/ovarian cystadenoma at 19Y, and hemangioblastomas at 23Y. Her two sisters and father all had hemangioblastomas; and father also had RCC, however the father and one sister were deceased; and the other sister was not available to provide a DNA sample.
