      Zhao et al published a paper in 2011 (PMID 21868764) to show that ARO is not an appropriate model for anaplastic thyroid carcinoma. ARO is a misidentified cell line, meaning that it does not come from the original donor. ARO is actually HT-29, a colon carcinoma cell line.
