This paper is poorly validated. The detection of NOX4 relies on a poorly validated antibody, or in fact no one in the field believes that it is specific. Others have shown that siRNAs can be highly unspecific. We and others cannot detect NOX4 in macrophages. Thus the title and conclusions appear to be invalid.
