How can I find out more about "well-newborn care in the inpatient setting"? It was $12000 and almost exclusively associated with uncomplicated delivery. In other words preterm birth complications, neonatal encephalopathy, and other neonatal disorders were not the major contributors. I do not understand that. What is being charged? Is the labor and delivery being charged to the mother or the child or being split equally among them? Surely it cannot be the "room" charge for hanging out in the newborn nursery for 2 days?
