      I thought I set this up correctly but I subbed R for .008314 instead of 0.08206....can you suggest a way I can keep these values separated and when to use one over the other??

      While reading the text, pg. 587, I was curious about amphiprotic acids and bases. Are all polyprotic acid and base intermediates amphiprotic? or do I have this concept confused?

      With this being the way my "Chemistry for Dummies" book explains acid base pairs that would mean that the conjugate base to the acid HF would be F-1. Is that how it works or would F-1 have to be in a compound to be counted as a conjugate base?

      Is this simply a statement you are telling us or is this something we need to familiarize ourself with? I do not completely understand the idea. Is there anyway you could explain it further or do I need to try to come up with a different question that would allow you to understand why I am lost?
