The Apollo 11 crew returned to Earth on July 24, 1969. Over the next several years, 10 astronauts would follow in Armstrong and Aldrin’s footsteps. The last mission to the moon was in 1972.
Why will they go back to the moon when they already went there before?
Twenty minutes later, Aldrin climbed down the ladder and joined his partner. After reading a plaque that said they “came in peace for all mankind,” the two planted the United States’ flag on the surface. President Richard Nixon called to congratulate the astronauts.
They were probably really proud of themselves, and the Americans probably gave them a prize for doing that.
NASA officials selected Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins as the astronauts who would make the historic trip from Earth on Apollo 11. Just four days after launching from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, the spacecraft neared the moon’s surface.
Were they really nervous when they were launching? Why were they selected as the ones going on the mission? Were they the best ones?
Lawrence Beesley was a teacher and wrote the first published account of the Titanic disaster just nine weeks after the event. He was reading in his cabin when the collision occurred. He died in 1967.
If he didn't die, won't he become really rich since he's the first one to write about the Titanic?
A second class ticket at that time cost approximately 13 to 79 pounds, which would be the equivalent of $1800 today.
That is so much for just a second class. Why didn't they just build it all the same?
On Sunday morning he said mass in both the second and third class lounges. He was walking the upper deck when the Titanic struck the iceberg. He helped third class passengers to the boat deck and lifeboats. Near the end he is reported to hear confessions, recite the rosary and give absolution.
Why didn't he go help the first class people first, since they thought they were so much better? Or did the first class already get on life boats.
In contrast to the Ten Courses First Class Passengers had for dinner, Second Class Passengers only enjoyed three courses. The first course would consist of soup, the second course was the main meal, and the third course were the desserts which were followed by coffee.
Why were the second class people treated so differently than the first class people? I think that it's just a ship and everyone should have the same seats.
Wait why did it take so long for the space race to like finish?
Back in the early days of space travel, astronauts squeezed most of their meals out of tubes. A sugary, orange-flavored drink, sold commercially as Tang, was considered a tasty treat. Food was fuel, and little more.
Does space food good compared to normal Earth food?
“On the space station right now, they are growing vegetables, lettuce in particular,” says Carie Lemack, the head of DreamUp, which provides space-based education and research opportunities for students. “We’re seeing the space salad — that’s remarkable.”
Does this mean that we are now capable of surviving in space in a long period of time?
Researchers have their sights set on space cuisine that is anything but boring. They have been producing alcohol, fermented cheese and basil in outer-space conditions.
Will astronauts also be able to eat food they love in space without any problems? Plus won't the food start floating around? How will scientists fix that problem then?

Will this let us have a possibility to survive on another planet, and can stay there for a long time?
