    1. All this interaction takes place in the mind without externalization, and all of it relies on previous interaction with the external world.

      To me it, basically means my thoughts are shaped by my real world experiences even if I just keep them to myself.

      It makes me think about how everything in my head comes from things that I have been through. It's like my past experiences shaping how I think, even when I'm not saying it out loud.

    3. What comes to mind? Sights, sounds, and scents? Something special that happened the last time you were there? Do you contemplate joining them? Do you start to work out a plan of getting from your present location to the restaurant? Do you send your friends a text asking if they want company? Until the moment when you hit the “send” button, you are communicating with yourself.

      When I think about meeting friends somewhere, I picture a scene I can almost smell and recall past memories. When I think about the weather, I consider whether I should go, how I would get there and what to say before I even text them. It’s all just my internal voice figuring things out.

    4. Intrapersonal communication can be defined as communication with one’s self, and that may include self-talk, acts of imagination and visualization, and even recall and memory (McLean, 2005).

      In my opinion Intrapersonal communication is how I view myself and what I tell myself.
