      I believe that when death does someone part, the family members suffer the most.

      I feel as though this sentence adds humor into this short story even though it was meant to be taken seriously.

      I strongly agree with this statement. You can't expect to move forward if you still haven't accomplished the task that you've been stuck on.

      When you are dyslexic people tend to expect you to act like everyone else, and read just like them. For these people, this is not the case. It's a lot harder than it looks.

      Starting this short story out with this sentence makes the story seem interesting.

    7. Tomorrow will be a better day by Josh Rittenburg "They even saw the Redsocks win the world series." I love this statement because I am a huge fan when it comes to baseball. I believe this statement added humor to this short story.

      It's always important to have this type of positivity. Hope is key in this crazy world we live in.

      I'm a strong believer that you should always follow your own dreams. You shouldn't be forced to do something that others want you to do.

      I feel as though this sentences added humor to this short story.

      You should always try new things, especially when you can go back to your normal self in less than minutes.

      I like this sentence because you should never let go of who you are, but change is also a good thing.

      If someone or something makes you this mad, you should try to get help as soon as possible. You shouldn't have to deal with something that big.

      Talking about it with someone will help you cope with almost anything. I find that sometimes even if the person is not speaking back, just knowing that someone is listening will help.

      I feel as though this sentence has one to many verbs. They described everything they were doing into one sentence. In my opinion I feel like this should have been separated in two sentences.

      This sentence was written the correct way. It showed that she as confused and felt as though she couldn't remember anything about her.

      Everyone should consume a certain amount of calories.

      I would have to fight for this statement. Have you ever asked yourself why this is? Well I have an answer that you probably never thought of. Have you ever been in the rush to get food maybe in-between a work shift? Or how about when you're in a tight spot with money and in need of food" You go to make a quick trip to your nearest Wendy's. You go to the menu and you see that a burger, fries, and a soda is all for five dollars. You go to order a salad and its eight dollars plus a drink. You can't blame the person for eating unhealthy when you can't afford a healthy meal.

    2. Kids should drink water, skim milk and unsweetened fruit juice.

      For this sentence I will use my cousins as an example. All of my cousins are way younger the me. They are all almost under the age of ten. Whenever we go out to eat, they order soda, and they don't think twice about it. Little do they know they are consuming way more calories than they should.

    3. The problem is that diet sodas aren't necessarily an improvement.

      I have known many, many people who get/order a diet soda instead of a regular soda. There is really no difference and it's about the same amount of calories still.

      This is a very opinionated question. Everyone has their opinions and his father believed that it was both poison and beauty.

      This sentence means that he's longing to live a life that he has never been able to live before. He wants to do everything he can to help make his grandchildren live their childhood and grow up to remember everything about it.

      In my opinion I am strong believe that something as little as a buckeye can keep away arthritis.

      Keeping something of a relative or close friend after they have passed away is one of the best coping options in my opinion.

      I believe that if someone feels this way about the city that they live in then they should try to change that. They should try to make an impact on the city that they live in and make it a more friendly, safe, and clean environment.

      I deal with this situation almost every day. I live in a city that doesn't have much. The things that we do have either aren't that nice or gets torn down after a few.

      In my opinion I believe that this was the right decision.

      When making a big decision, like he was, I would have made sure I understood everything that was happening.

    3. The tension I personally feel as a consumer is that the member stations are holding them back.

      If they were wanting to do the best that they could, I feel as though they would have let go of anything that was holding them back from getting to the point that they needed.

    4. Shouldn’t it be focusing instead on its audience, wherever works best?

      If you give the audience what they want, they will be guaranteed to come back for more.

      I feel as though they would earn more money if they were to make a radio station or a show about it. I believe that it would get more views.

      This is true. Most people chose to watch shows that are based on something that is happening now rather then something that has happened long ago in the past.

      In my opinion I think if they were to do a Netflix series about this, they would get more listeners and more views. Typically you are drawn into something like that, and each episode is supposed to make you want to watch more.

      I think this would have been a great idea.

      In my opinion this is one reason why I thought "This American Life" was confusing. It kept jumping from person to person and it got confusing because I never knew who was talking.

    5. Ira Glass is not afraid to fail. In fact, he seems to relish the possibility of defeat.

      I feel as though this is a good sentence to start this essay with. It grabbed my attention.

    1. It felt like I was forced to take an oath. It felt like I was forced to declare my religion.

      I wonder if she was honest with him, because it sounds like she was forced into something that she did not want to answer.

      I agree with what she said, because this situation has nothing to do with if she believes everything in the Bible.

      I believe that everyone can have their own opinions, if you do not believe everything in the bible then there is nothing wrong with that, or if you do believe it then that is fine to.

    4. Janesville is 60,000 people.

      60,000 people is way too many people that are now affected by this unfair decision.

      In my opinion I think the president made the right choice. It's not fair to run a center and have to give up its prayers.

    1. the Cubs win the World Series

      Lets be real here. Best thing to happen in 2016!

    2. They even saw the Red Sox win the World Series – twice.

      I like how it goes from serious to humorous.

    3. I believe tomorrow will be better than today – that the world my generation grows into is going to get better, not worse. Those pictures helped me understand why.

      Its up to our generation to make the world a better place. We cant rely on others to fix our mess.

    1. Believing there is no God means the suffering I’ve seen in my family, and indeed all the suffering in the world, isn’t caused by an omniscient, omnipresent, omnipotent force that isn’t bothered to help or is just testing us, but rather something we all may be able to help others with in the future. No God means the possibility of less suffering in the future.

      Opinions are one thing but when it comes down to this crazy world we live in, I would have to say that God is not the only reason people are suffering. We face our own difficulties and challenges and there is more then one reason to everything. That's just my opinion.

    2. I have love, blue skies, rainbows and Hallmark cards, and that has to be enough. It has to be enough, but it’s everything in the world and everything in the world is plenty for me. It seems just rude to beg the invisible for more. Just the love of my family that raised me and the family I’m raising now is enough that I don’t need heaven. I won the huge genetic lottery and I get joy every day.

      I like this part because he realizes the importance of life, and doesn't feel like he needs anything else.

    3. You can’t prove that there isn’t an elephant inside the trunk of my car.

      I'm almost positive that you cant fit an elephant in a car!
