    1. Align evaluative criteria with learning objectives

For best results I feel that in history the rubric and grading policy will change based on assignment type.

    1. Once you have listened well to the student’s point of view, it helps to frame your responses and comments in terms of how the student’s behavior affects you in particular, especially in your role as the teacher.

I feel that its important to always take a step back and look at the situation through the students point of view and remember that you, yourself at one point was in there shoes.

    2. Key Principles of Applying Consequences vs. Correction

This is important to distinguish and work on because body language and how you react to situations will make all the difference when trying to reach students.

I feel that often students get discouraged when getting a bad grade back but instead of looking at it with the outlook of failing, the teachers should tell the student how it is a opportunity to improve and do better in the future.

    1. Technology

From my experience this is one of the most under-utilized things in a classroom today. So much tech is available to help teach but often not used.

    2. Using assessment information to adjust instruction is fundamental

Teach what the students understand and build off of that, along with this use the information they have proven to know and build your curriculum around that.

    1. consider using a permanent cart to move crucial supplies from room to room

The easier you can move and more organized you are the easier your flow will be with moving constantly.

    2. But too many displays can also make a room seem “busy” or distracting as well as physically smaller.

It best not to have a room full of clutter as this will distract the students from focusing on the material. but make sure to not have blank walls or your classroom might feel like a prison.

    1. Backward Planning

Basically think of what you want the students to learn and take away. Leading off that one can curate a lesson designed to meet those specific needs.

Body language is everything, if the student can read your body language and tell that you're not confident about the material how is one expected to have them intake the information without some bit of edge abut it.

This is crucial because ill be teaching kids who a few iv known from being family friends so it'll be hard to gain respect and for them to not see me as a regular person.

    1. intrinsically motivated

As a teacher ill have to find ways to motivate students who only learn when something can apply to them or they have internal motivation to do it. This is why linking information to relative parts of student lives are important.

    2. Be on time for class and other activities.

I feel that this is one of the points that can either make or break a student in academia. Time management can be something that students can utilize to help make life easier and stay on top of assignments.

    3. defining your expectations for student behavior

I feel that this is important as a first step in holding the classroom to your standards and what the expectations are for the year. If no standards are set then the students wont know what objectives to work towards.
