    1.  Mr. DOUGLASS has very properly chosen to write his own Narrative, in his own style, and according to the best of his ability, rather than to employ some one else.

      Douglas wants to make sure what he has to say is said in his own words and not others words so it will be more creditable.

      I have heard this speech multiple times and even reading it casually you can hear the emotion within every word that is read,

      She was a great speaker for the black community although she never knew how to do the basic things as read and write, She was able to get her message to impact everyone whom heard it

      I find this a to be more common for the time, although the George knows that his master will not protect him he feels the need to sdo the opposite to keep his life.

      Although this is a more fictional story it really is hard to really grasp this conversation happening because slaves were not able to speak as freely as portrayed

      Oh lack-a-day : this had me really confused. Did Samuel witness Eunice and Adonijah's death . What was the significance to Canada to choose there.

      What is the battle supposed supposed to represent ? the white men vs the Indians.
