      This comment suggests that Victor is assuming that whatever creature he creates will be inherently evil and that he therefore believes that the creature is inherently evil. In some ways, this is an attempt to absolve himself of responsibility for how the creature has come to be. He refuses to consider that there may have been ways to avoid the creature causing harm that would revolve around him taking responsibility for his actions.

      This is an interesting reflection of the revenge that the creature tried to inflict on Victor for his suffering. That results only in misery and not the presumed end to misery that the creature was searching for. While Victor's need for revenge is certainly understandable, it is still a continuation of the misery that he and the Creature have felt since the creation.
