Liver, lungs, heads, tails, kidneys, testicles, all of these things which are traditional, delicious and nutritious parts of our gastronomy go to waste. Offal consumption has halved in Britain and America in the last 30 years. As a result, this stuff gets fed to dogs at best, or is incinerated.
Has anyone ever eaten this animal(cow, goat) organs before? I have and still cook offal in my house.The people in the western world are so much into health consciousness of not getting fat which I sometimes wonder if that is the case or not being well informed about the health benefits in offal. Some of the offal, I will agree do contain high fat and cholesterol(LDL), however, anyone who does not have the issue of cholesterol can eat offal. The offal probably contain less of the bad cholesterol compared to fast foods like a beef burger. offal are so delicious!
