We continue to talk about grades long after they’ve ceased to matter because they mark us indelibly. And it’s just as important to recognize that indelible mark as it is to recognize that if grades can cease to matter at some point in our lives, it might stand to reason they never really mattered in the first place.
I think its an interesting matter to bring up with if grades ceased to exist because they have been ingrained into all of us for so long as a society that itd be almost impossible to not matter at any point. Its a reflection of where we were in society and where we had a winner's mentality.
