    1. Common Security Threats

The portions among this section of the chapter that discuss "Spam" and "Phishing" provides valuable information to people for a better understanding of the concepts. As educators, however, I believe that it's important these two aspects of technology are taught to students for them to become aware of these given situations. There are plenty of people who do not understand these two technological concepts, which makes for unforeseen circumstances to appear. It's a way to provide students with adequate technological knowledge for them to not be brought into a situation that may take sensitive information from their accounts. The provided example of a banking account serves as a great resource for educators to use to make the aspects of spam and phishing more apparent to students. What other examples do you think would be good to use for students to gain a better understanding about the two concepts?

    2. Device Fingerprinting

The section of this chapter, "Device Fingerprinting," provides valuable information to the concept of a user's online identity to their real-world identity. It's a method of tracking consumer behavior that I have not initially thought of, since it's something that's not widely discussed. Device fingerprinting sounds to be like a concerning advertisement concept due to the tracking aspects of it for potential connections to be made to customers. Has anyone been familiar with device fingerprinting in the past? I've definitely learned about a new method of tracking today from reading this section of the chapter.

    3. Social media can allow you to connect with others

The point of the section "Social Media and Relationships" in this chapter is to provide information about the positive and negative impacts of relationships on social media. With that being said, I'm taking a different perspective with just this one highlighted portion because of the benefits that it provides to education. A previous assignment that we've completed in this course discussed the positive relations of educators using technological connections to enhance student learning. The ability to connect with others online allows us as educators to, for example, Zoom into the workplaces of others in certain professions to engage students in an enhanced learning environment. I understand that this comment doesn't specifically relate to social media, but it's important for educators to remember that connections with others can be used to make an impactful experience upon the learning of students in an appropriate manner.

    4. Our behaviour online can have serious real-world consequences

Even though this is only a part of the introduction, I believe that it's such a powerful sentence for every person to understand. The behavior that's showcased online can have serious consequences in the real-world, so it's important that students gain an understanding upon this concept to not partake among the consequences that are relevant. Instructional activities of educators, as a result, should aid in such aspects for students to learn about proper digital citizenship that will help make a better online community for future generations. It's clear that this chapter will relate towards proper technological usage that allows people to gain an understanding on how to handle the negative aspects that's apparent throughout technology as outlined in the introduction.
