    1. The TL;DR Version

I am curious about the inclusion of the TLDR section at the end of the piece. It seems a stark deviation from assigning what Boyle himself would call too many course readings. The inclusion of a TLDR almost makes the strategies outlined in the piece unusable for reading the piece itself. I wonder why it was included.

    2. See, I require a lot of reading in my classes

Here, Boyle explains what he calls a cruel pedagogy, in training attention with intentional oversaturation of information. This practice seems in line with Ingold's posit in Education and Attention, that perception proceeds along a path of observation, and that attention must be educated. By making the close, thorough, and linear reading of all materials impossible, Boyle seems to want students to make their way out of the maze of knowing all there is to know.
