    1. And he ordered Athena to teach her own craft to her, weaving a very intricate web. (65) And he ordered Aphrodite to shed golden charm over her head; also harsh longing, and anxieties that eat away at the limbs. And he ordered Hermes, the messenger and Argos-killer, to put inside her bitchy intent and a sneaky temperament.

      Is there a reason that the females give her good traits and objects while the males give her bad ones? is it just a coincidence that the males give her things that they see woman as like b*tchy and virginal while the woman give her things they see themselves as like golden charms and craft?

    2. Every day an eagle would come to peck out his liver, and every night Prometheus’ liver would grow back so the eagle could eat it again.

      I know that Zeus has shape shifted in other greek stories (mostly the r*pe woman). With that in mind could this eagle be Zeus? Maybe he takes pleasure in seeing Prometheus in agony and wanted to be the source of his agony?

    3. She is the one who inflames Zeus's heart with lust, and who now, because of Hera's hatred, is forced to wander endlessly.

    1. after he had overcome his father Cronus by force;

      Cronus means time and Zeus is derized from the name zwn which means life. Zeus defeated Cronus and then went on to create a new family. I believe this speaks about how the power of life will prevail and also the natural cycle of reproduction

    2. After they have washed their tender bodies in Permessus or in the Horse’s Spring[1] or Olmeius, they dance fair and lovely on the highest peak of Helicon, moving with vigorous feet. At night, they rise from there and go out into the world, [10] veiled in thick mist, and they sing their song with lovely voices, praising Zeus the aegis-holder, and queenly of Argos who walks on golden sandals, and the daughter of the aegis-holder, bright-eyed [pb_glossary id="5217"]Athenano post, and Phoebus Apollo, and Artemis who delights in arrows, [15] and Poseidon the earth holder who shakes the earth, and revered Themis, and quick-glancing Aphrodite,

      When they describe the goddesses they use words such as tender, delights and bright-eyed. This creates this idea that these very powerful and willful eternal beings are nothing but innocent and dainty women who have nothing better to do than wash themselves and praise Zeus

      Its fascinating to me how greek and roman mythology leave out women, Zeus was not only the father of gods and men, but beautiful goddesses such as Athena, Artemis and Aphrodite. I know he was known as this by many but I do wish the goddesses were included as well just because they have such lovely stories and deserve the same or even more recognition as the men in these stories get.
