    1. t may, perhaps, seem strange that Beauplaisir should in such near Intimacies continuestill deceiv'd: I know there are Men who will swear it is an Impossiblity, and that no Disguisecould hinder them from knowing a Woman they had once enjoy'd. In answer to these Scruples, Ican only say, that besides the Alteration which the Change of Dress made in her, she was soadmirably skill'd in the Art of feigning, that she had the Power of putting on almost what Faceshe pleas'd, and knew so exactly how to form her Behaviour to the Character she represented, that all the Comedians at both Playhouses are infinitely short of her Performances: She, could16vary her very Glances, tune her Voice to Accents the most different imaginable from those inwhich she spoke when she appear'd herself. ----

I love the little commentary posted by the narrator because yes Beau is an idiot , but the author herself is saying that any man would have fallen into the trickery because of how underhanded she was. and not just Fantomina but women.Women are decietefull and full of tricks and can fool any man if they really tried to. yes within this novel a lot of questions were pozed and many more emotions were conveyed but trully this is my biggest take from this.

    2. Memory of her dead Husband, that there was no getting a Word from her on any otherTheme:--But bethinking himself of the celebrated Story of the Ephesian Matron,

Does anyone else find it so interesting that he compared her to the matron? When she is quite the opposite, husband less, without her, honor, and honesty. In every sense of the word she was ahead of her time and is the very definition of a modern woman , in charge of her own sexuality even if she is borderline psycho.

    3. The more she reflected on theMerits of Beauplaisir, the more she excused herself for what she had done; and the Prospect ofthat continued Bliss she expected to share with him, took from her all Remorse for havingengaged in an Affair which promised her so much Satisfaction, and in which she found not theleast Danger of Misfortune. ---If he is really (said she, to herself) the faithful, the constant Loverhe has sworn to be, how charming will be our Amour? ----And if he should be false, growsatiated, like other Men, I shall but, at the worst, have the private Vexation of knowing I havelost him;----

Her awareness to the fact that Beau will never be satisfied and she will never be enough for him and any from is mind boggling because it's so ridiculous. In her head the thinks sleeping with someone is enough the make them want you forever but neither of her characters got emotionally intimate with him, yes she fell for him because she was naive but her knows better and experienced better; experience a lot of woman and most if not all of them has only offered him sex, a momentous passion, not has really connected with him beyond. How can she expect him to be faithful to a fleeting moment? She is honestly obsessed with him and is so lost in her deception that she is now Irreversible.
