I never thought about it like this because in my head civil rights goes had and hand with human right. Yet I can see that to X that the black man doesn't want enough, doesn't see that they deserve more then just civil rights. Just barely becoming "equal" will never be enough for the 400 years of suffering, we as black people need true reparations.

I think it's interesting how much just reading had provided him, it shows the power of books while also explain why education especially in this time wasn't for any marginalized.
