The website properly incorporates videos and photos that are sure to aid with students that need visuals in order to comprehend better. It indicates that there are subtitles for the videos, however they do not work at all. Not only that, there is a clear lack in a description for the photos as well.
What we do The network brings together employees with disabilities, providing them with a community forum to support one another through shared understanding, peer support and mentoring. We also raise awareness of those with disabilities, identify barriers to inclusion, and advocate to promote an equitable and inclusive workplace for all.
The TMU website structures their text with clear headings and subtitles which allows for a logical way to find the information needed. Users are able to easily find the main links in the top tool bar and find information on the specific page, available on the table of contents on the side of each page. The website does a good job at organizing their text in a logical manner, however they could do a better job at crowding the screen with many different paragraphs in the same area.
Toronto Metropolitan University’s Employees with Disabilities Community Network includes faculty and staff with visible and non-visible disabilities. Through their mutual support, members provide a diverse perspective of their experiences of living and working with disabilities.
The TMU website provides some accessibility on their webpage that reduces the complexity of navigation, however the website could be more accessible in terms of closed captions on videos. Every category is simply labelled and the information contained is simple enough. Additionally the language can be changed to accomadate language barriers.
Most Toronto Metropolitan University websites have accessibility enhancements to improve access for the widest possible audience, including people who are using assistive technologies. Due to assistive technologies having varying support, some features may not be universally supported. We recommend using a current browser and assistive technology for an optimal experience. While we work towards making all of our website content more accessible, there will be some legacy pages and documents, websites developed by third-parties, and websites hosted on other content management systems that may contain issues.

However there are still limitations to accessibility due to third-party technologies managing content, and the various support available for assistive technology. However there are lots of resources related to navigating the website accessibly.
