Antigone is starting to question more about the settings in the play. I believe this is a comparison on how women’s freedom is limited when there is a man that is trying to take control over their life and run it. A garden is ruined when a man comes and destroys it. While it is showing that garden is beautiful when it is preserved and without men’s touch.

Antigone didn’t seem wanting to marry Creon, based on how the narrator described her expression when he asked to marry her. There could be a possibility that the narrator is trying to push the idea of marriage into them but she is not as interested as she might be, I believe she is aware that she will be dying, which is making her feel more conflicted to enjoying the present moment.

I believe everything is set up for her already. The narrator is already foreshadowing on the character, Antigone will do, how they will react. The character is controlled by the narrator, rather than them controlling their own emotions and actions. They are completely helpless because they don’t have the ability to react by themselves. The fate is already decided that their character will die.
