Population control groups on the left often will claim that they are concerned witheliminating gender and economic inequalities, racism and colonialism, but since theseorganizations address these issues through a problematic over-population paradigm, inevitablytheir efforts are directed toward reducing population growth of all peoples in theory and ofpeople of color in reality.21

C: I think it's funny how there is an actual "population control group" who job is in reducing overpopulation growth for people of color, but try to disguise their malicious intentions by stating that they are concerned with eliminating gender and economic inequalities, racism and colonialism.

Q: How can they say they are trying to reduce racism when they are being racist by focusing on reducing the population growth in color people?

That's just bs, this article stated "For instance, a study was published in 2001 claimed that the 1973 legalization of abortion permitted poor women of color to terminate their pregnancies, thereby preventing the birth of their unwanted children who were likely to have become criminals".

    1. Miyamoto’s childhood years in Japan weredifficult, particularly at school, where herclassmates refused to hold hands with her, threw garbage at her, and even called herkuronbo (the Japanese equivalent of nig-ger)

GRADED: C: I found this quote interesting because when I think of someone calling a person a "n****" the first thing that comes to mind is a white person calling a black person that. I have always seen Asians be " non confrontational and humble" and never seen them as racist or being a bully. This article gave me a different perspective on racism. In my opinion kids learn to be this way from their parents.

Q: Could parental classes that help soon to be parents deal with racism be effective?

    1. A Black feminist presence has evolved most obviously in connection with the second wave of the American women’s movement beginning in the late 1960s. Black, other Third World, and working women have been involved in the feminist movement from its start, but both outside reactionary forces and racism and elitism within the movement itself have served to obscure our participation. In 1973, Black feminists, primarily located in New York, felt the necessity of forming a separate Black feminist group. This became the National Black Feminist Organization (NBFO).

C: I think this paragraph is so interesting because not only were the woman fighting for their rights but black women were also fighting for their rights as black women.

Q: Why couldn't all women work together in fighting for their rights? Why were there still color lines that divided all the women within the women's rights movement?
