    1. I picture forests echoing with laughter and shadows taller than souls.

      This is a form of imagery through personification. The forests are a inanimate object that are doing human things. The eerie language such as echoing, laughter, shadows, and souls give off a disturbing feeling included with vivid imagery.

      This represents the connection between her and her brother through music. Using these details I can imagine her on her bed with headphones listening to Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. Not to mention the part where it says "Think if I keep listening to this one song at some point he'll be listening too." that shows how much she cares about her brother

      The detailed description creates imagery because of words such as shattered or broken. It is very easy to imagine a mess of glass shards and snapped records because of these vivid vocabulary.
