      This phrasing completely adds intensity in speech which involves negative connotations. Dying with treachery and being called wicked are the last thing anyone wants to hear.

      This description empowers the visualization of a creature that posses monster-like traits with a hybrid mixture of genes which further adds power to figure.

    1. So here I am!  Thebes! I am Dionysos, son of Zeus.  My mother was Semele and she was Kadmos’ daughter. Zeus delivered me from my mother with one of his awesome lightening bolts.

      Dionysus starts off his introduction with extreme confidence.

    2. This city must learn one way or another, whether it likes it or not, that it can’t stay uninitiated and ignorant of my rites!

      The fact that he thinks the city must learn creates a purpose for him to plan schemes and play tricks on other people. His desire to impose will on other people through his deceiving qualities are fueled by his desire to gain recognition.

      Dionysus's ability to involve everyone says a lot about his trickster qualities. He's able to make everyone feel his sincerity, although it's all just a disguise.

      Kratos is trying to sway Hephaistos's point of view and turn his emotions into hatred.

      It's great to see something good that's contributed to the human by god.

      This is another example of how vengeance creates something powerful. I've seen quite a few examples in Greek and Roman mythology in which something powerful or stunning is created out of the vengeance in a figure.

      At this point in the article, I begin to understand how Zeus created a dysfunctional family. I saw a lot of poor-decision making.

      Kronos's action was conditioned by the prophecy that has yet happened. This shows how Kronos's insecurity locked up his mind and therefore turned stubborn as he enforces his dominance on his children.

      I find this part really contrasting since such a beautiful goddess can be created out of a son's vengeance on his father. This speaks for how beauty was created in an ugly series of events.

      The mother Gaia (aka the Earth) was infuriated that their father was disgusted by their own children. She was desperate for a vengeance so she urged all the giants to punish their father. This sheds light on the role of the mother on how she was oppressed by the dominant male figure (Ouranos) and can only seek revenge utilizing the power of her children.
