    1. They can take away their driver's license," adds Becker. "If they have another license — let's say you're a farmer and you need to spread pesticide, you need a license for pesticide

By doing this will the parents be able to pay off the debt more quickly?

    2. Abuse is an issue in only 16% of cases when kids go to foster care, according to Casey Family Programs, a foundation that seeks to reduce the need for foster care

If there is abuse in families i think the child should rather be put up for an adoption only in the case where both parents are abusive towards the child and where if father is abusing the mother i think states also has rules for that and should take into consideration for atleast the betterment of the child

    3. We have cases where a child is back home with Mom and the mom is at risk of losing her child again because of poverty ... That doesn't make sense from a child well-being, family well-being standpoint, or from a taxpayer standpoint.

What’s the point of sending the child Back to their family when the situation would remain same rather they live in foster care or with parents who are working 24/7 just to pay off foster care bills. It’s much more frustrating for a child to live in a family like that where parents don’t have time for them.

    4. He's seen mothers, often single mothers, work overtime or take on a second job to pay off the debt – "and then the kids are left alone and unattended and do not get the parental guidance that they need."

I believe, by giving a long bill to the parents who obviously can’t afford, the government is giving them a hard time. It can lead to so many things for the poor parents to deal with. Firstly, the financial debt can cause them to have sleepless nights and stress which can also lead to depression and avoiding their own children Secondly, what this reading states that parents do 2 jobs which eventually leads to them not being with their children just to pay off the debt. Should parents be punished for being financial unstable and their children being sent to foster care?

    5. Spears. "Keeping them in foster care continued to drive up the bill every month

If the law and court wants to charge money then it should be a logical amount because mostly as we are reading are the parents who are already in debt, have financial issues, drug issues eventually leading to financial problems. The Government should be considerate towards them when they see the parents trying to improve themselves for their children and not charge as much bill.

    6. Government raises little money, or even loses money, when it tries to collect

If officials took her children to foster care I believe government should be the ones held responsible for the bill of foster care and not the mother who wasn’t in charge of any drug case. Also, shouldn’t government take the charge of it to raise kids the better way?

    1. The “important stuff” is no longer kept in dusty library stacks that are available only to a privileged few.

As a psychology student I had to do some research about my topic and write a research paper. I have seen myself surfing on internet for articles etc rather than finding the books in library, internet has become so vast that people rely on it in every situation they are in.

    2. With so much multitasking, many of us are on system overload, with the result that we do each task worse when doing them simultaneously than if we had concentrated on one at a time

I believe, Multitasking can be beneficial for people as it increases our performance and gets lots of tasks done simultaneously. If one has a habit of multitasking they might be more productive through their day by completing their tasks. we can take mothers as an example of multitaskers as they do lots of things simultaneously. for e.g cooking, cleaning, showering their kids, talking on phone about some work.
