I believe that the huge gaps in the wealth distribution, that we discussed is the reason why a lot of richer people raise their children like this. The great pull that the top 20% of this wealth distribution has, that has probably been there for years, is what allows them to look the other way and, as Gelman said "not question why it's there" specifically, because they may not like what they find if they go searching for it. Not many rich people would like to see that their entirely disconnected from the majority of the world who hold little to no weight in the wealth distribution of the U.S.
