Reading out loud can really help. When I had to study for a presentation I would read what I had to say out loud. It sounded great on screen and in my head, but it sounded off once said out loud. I will try this for this lesson.

This is the best reason to revise your work. You wont always have your best work at first. I have gone and looked back at work I have done a while ago and thought it could ave been done much better. At the time I thought that it was really good, but looking back at it I see that it was quite weak.

I had sometimes got the two confused, proofreading and revising. I now realize that proofreading is not the hard part. It involves fixing the little things like spellchecking. Revising is the hard part as it is rethinking your paper.

Well the U.S. is not a direct democracy. We are a representative democracy. Just because more people want something does not mean that is what will happen. You can look back as early as last year when Hillary Clinton won the popular vote, but Donald Trump became president because he won more electoral votes.
