YBW
So for this project I had to create a Youtube channel. There are many different ways to customize the channel to better suit the target audience/community but I really didn't do much. I just put a picture and channel description, that seemed like the bare minimum for a Youtube channel. One feature I found very interesting was watermark function, which is an interesting visual feature. At the bottom right corner I put own my symbol as a watermark (I got that tattooed on my left forearm, as lame as that sounds it is uniquely mine).
Hey, my buddy .Null and I decided to make a quick lofi loop. Nothing crazy, just a couple of friends trying to make some music over discord while keeping that social distancing and staying safe.. The image and voice clip are both from FL CL, it's a pretty cool anime with some killer music. Also, so I don't get in shit for stealing the image I found it off a random print site on Google images. Not mine, I just edited our names on to it so we can look cooler lol. Did it work? Anyways, all the best and thanks for listening :)
Youtube videos all include a description, usually these contain contextual information pertaining to the video. In my video I included: the artists who created the music, what was sampled, and the origin of the image. |There was also a sign off thanking viewers for their time.
Happen Lofi (Music to study to, then not study and get wickedly distracted)
Lofi videos often have simple titles, some of the more popular ones include parentheses (highlighting that the audiences likes to study/work while while listening to this kind of music). These kinds of videos are usually10 hours long but they are generally the same loop. You could just click the loop button but I guess people haven't discovered that yet.
It's not ok. The gov doesn't know you're crammed into a a small room with 10 people at work. If they did know they would say it's not okay. Your employer is not following the recommended precautions. I work in a large company (aircraft engine developer) and everybody who is non essential to production or testing works from home...management, some designers, etc. Our floor is 3000 sqft and we're allowed 6 people in that space at one time and need to wear masks. We've never shut down...we adapted. We've only had 4 cases of covid company wide out of 4000 people.
This is an argument based on ethos, the user draws upon identifying themselves as an aircraft engine developer and expositing their personal experience with corporate isolation guidelines and execution. This profession is a pretty respectable position and thus, the user felt it necessary to mention this in their argument against the government recommendations. I would consider their argument effective wherein they received a response from their directed comment leading to a brief back and forth. This user was responding to a specific account by another user within this comment thread.
Defund and Charge the Media (CBC,CTV, City TV etc.) with TREASON!!! They are TRAITOR's to the People!!
This is a pathetic argument, the user is trying to appeal to emotion by arguing that news media outlets have betrayed "The people" therefore, users should angered and rally behind this proclamation. Interestingly, this comment rides on the success of the logical argument mentioned before but has also garnered support through likes and mentions .
Don't socialize or be around people but go to work and to school. Doesn't make any sense
This comment tries to use a logical basis to form an argument against the Ford governments "Strict" Covid guidelines. The users ironic approach tries to use the videos own argument against itself. This comment is the most successful comment because of the attention it has garnered: the top comment (of 1299), 531 likes and 76 replies on a channel with over 2 million subscribers. Success on Youtube is attention, whether it be positive or negative and having community engagement is a difficult thing to invoke.
Students need to understand how these media work for differentaudiences and in various contexts and how to layer and juxtapose mediato create sophisticated messages.
Wouldn't this be taught through a students own personal online experience? Why does this need to be taught?
described challenges they observed as teachers worked tointegrate computers into their classrooms, lesson plans, and daily work
I am gonna be real, I feel like there are a lot of expectations being placed on people we pay the absolute minimum to teach future generations. That's a lot of pressure, on top of having to keep up with a rapidly advancing world. I don't think people like to look at teaching as a practice, since the public seems to bounce between viewing teachers as state sponsored caretakers or people who couldn't make it in the field they wanted.
