I'm definitely curious to see what this means, so I think this is effective at piquing interest! Maybe because it connects to people? and again gives agency to the instrument, which is sort of strange but pulls you in.

I feel like it's a little alienating to say the only instrument. We don't have kazoos in orchestras (usually) and I don't think it would hurt to just say that it's widely excluded from symphonies and orchestras.

I like this plant bit! I think it sets up the style of writing well. Also, I like the implication that the sax rooted itself which feels stubborn.
