    1. This is Faith. Six months of schooling, now she’s a happy sixth grader who dreams of becoming a pilot someday, and her family now supports her, and best of all, her younger sisters will follow in her footsteps.

I think its really cool that she knows what she wants and that her family supports her now. Faith went from having one pencil for school to being a happy 6th grader who wants to be a pilot and has her family to support her and her sisters who want to follow her. I think Faith will be a great role model to her sisters and she can achieve anything. I think its really amazing how far Faith has come.

    2. . It’s a sad truth, but girls are often assaulted, raped and even kidnapped on their way to school. So before a girl could learn math or history, she needed to feel safe, she needed to be rested and be well-nourished.

It is terrible that this is accurate. It's not even just on the way to school. Sadly it can happen anywhere like the mall, gym, or really anywhere. We need to be more aware of this so we can fix it and so girls don't feel this way. It's not ok that that girls are nervous about walking to school or the gym or even when they want to leave the house. They should be focused in what they need to get done and not how to be safe. This is the biggest thing we need to fix.

    3. I was the first of eight children, and I spent my childhood helping my mother cook, clean, farm and take care of my siblings.

I am the oldest child in my family and I understand what she means and has gone through. As the oldest child you have to step up sometimes and sadly even grow up too fast. I can completely relate to what she means by taking care of your siblings and helping out when you are needed to. I have to someone drop what I am doing to help out my parents by taking care of my siblings. Some may be little things like watch them but somethings may be something big like drive them to practice our a friends house and have to pick then up which takes more of my time. I can relate toner about growing up and having to take care of my siblings.

    1. There will always be waste. I’m not that unrealistic that I think we can live in a waste-free world. But that black line shows what a food supply should be in a country if they allow for a good, stable, secure, nutritional diet for every person in that country.

Yes, there will always be waste and wasteful tendencies. It's not realistic to think we can live in a waste free environment and world. That being said there are so many little things we can do to be less wasteful. Instead of throwing food out save it and give it to the homeless. You can even give it to farmers to give to their animals like pigs. There are so many easy that can help make us waste less and they are not even complicated. They are really simple to do and we should try to do it.

    2. But I noticed that most of the food that I was giving my pigs was in fact fit for human consumption, and that I was only scratching the surface, and that right the way up the food supply chain, in supermarkets, greengrocers, bakers, in our homes, in factories and farms, we were hemorrhaging out food. Supermarkets didn’t even want to talk to me about how much food they were wasting. I’d been round the back. I’d seen bins full of food being locked and then trucked off to landfill sites, and I thought, surely there is something more sensible to do with food than waste it.

I have never understood why restaurants just throw away the good food that they work hard to cook all day. Instead of just throwing the food out I believe they should give it to the homeless people and shelters and even retirement homes so old people that can't go out as much can still enjoy good tasting restaurant food. Just by not throwing out the food and giving it away to people that need is very nice and helps this world in so many ways.

    3. The job of uncovering the global food waste scandal started for me when I was 15 years old. I bought some pigs. I was living in Sussex. And I started to feed them in the most traditional and environmentally friendly way. I went to my school kitchen, and I said, “Give me the scraps that my school friends have turned their noses up at.” I went to the local baker and took their stale bread. I went to the local greengrocer, and I went to a farmer who was throwing away potatoes because they were the wrong shape or size for supermarkets. This was great. My pigs turned that food waste into delicious pork. I sold that pork to my school friends’ parents, and I made a good pocket money addition to my teenage allowance.

I think this is really smart to make money at the age of 15 and I also think this is just smart in general to help better our world. Restaurants alone waste so much food so to be able to take that food and feed it to pigs is a great idea.We waste food and don't think anything about it. If we feed that food to pigs instead of wasting it then just by doing that we are bettering out world. To think just a 15 year old had this idea to make money is crazy.

    1. Can economic growth get us to the Global Goals?

I believe that economic growth will help a little our global goals. That being said there are changes that need to be made before this can happen. In my opinion when it comes to economics in our society it only helps the rich and upper class but never the poor and lower class. The rich always seem to get richer and the poor always stay poor. That needs to be corrected and changed. We need to be able to help the poor and whoever needs Economic help. If we can do that then it will get us to our global goals.

    2. Can this vision for a better world really be achieved?

I do believe that a vision for a better world can be achieved. It will just take a lot of hardworking, dedication, and time for this to come true. There is so much that needs fixing and a lot of change has to happen as well. I do believe that if we work together that at some point we can make this world a better world and our vision can be achieved and come true.

    3. Do you think the world is going to be a better place next year? In the next decade? Can we end hunger, achieve gender equality, halt climate change, all in the next 15 years?

In my opinion the world will most definitely be a better place but I don think we will be able to change everything in just fifteen years. I believe that in 15 years stop or at least get closer to stopping climate change and making the world better. When it comes to world hunger and gender equality I believe that will take more then 15 years but we will definitely have made it better than it is now.

    1. Encourage compliments and be nice to others

"Encourage compliments and be nice to others"is a saying that I feel like sums up compassion. In my opinion it is easier to be nice, kind, and to compliment others. It is hard and pointless to be mean and disrespectful. Why go out of your way to be mean when it is easier to be kind and nice. When it comes to compassion I think about being kind, respectful, and nice. The easiest thing to do in life is to just be kind and respectful.

    2. Take responsibility for the effects of your words and actions on others, even when your intentions were not to cause them harm

I have heard this saying " take responsibility for your actions" since I was born. I have always been taught to own up to my actions and mistakes. It is better if you own up and take responsibility because that shows who you are as a person. It also reflects on your character. It doesn’t matter if you had intentions to harm someone or be funny. You should always own up to what you did and correct the situation.

    3. The principle of compassion lies at the heart of all religious, ethical, and spiritual traditions, calling us always to treat all others as we wish to be treated ourselves.

" Treat others the way you want to be treated" has always been a saying growing up. I have always been taught to be kind and respectful and in return I expect to be treated with kindness. I feel like everyone lives by this general rule and was taught to be kind, respectful, and have manors. To me this saying has stuck with all my life and I believe that everyone follows this saying as well.
