Instead of opening with someone else’s views, you could start with an illustrative quotation, a revealing fact or statistic, or— as we do in this chapter—a relevant anecdote.
It is always a good start to begin with a very good imagery to set your argument to the person who is opposed you. Easily creating a scene that they can put them selves and trying to be in somebody else's shoes to see it from a whole new and different perspective.
