Journalists' focus on news that hinges on personal narratives laid a foundation for stories like the Harvey Weinstein article to have such a wide audience. The transition to stories of systematic trauma sounds like it would more-greatly benefit those who experience said trauma because it is easier to ignore the suffering of an individual than a group of people.
