    1. The pleasure of learning of knowing and understanding is one of the most important and basic feelings that each child expects to receive from the experience he or she is living through

How important it is to remember why we are teaching early childhood education. How can we keep in mind to be the ones facilitating this disposition? How can we also remember that it is in out hands to create the environment for this disposition to unfold.

    1. We should listen to the children so that their wisdom gives us comfort, so that their "whys" orient our searchfor the reasons and give us the strength to find non-violent, honest and responsible answer .

I have never thought like this. It is true. When children ask questions, adults need to ponder and work hard to elaborate an answer. The answer to a child bring the empathy from within us and thus we become less violent.

    1. she does instruct them on matters of technique

I agree that there are instruction moments that children benefit from a teacher teaching. If we think how old generations had children around while they were doing everyday tasks and skills were passed down, it's is of the children's best interest to have teacher's intructions but in a very organically way. Not seat and listen but look and give it a try.

    2. The point of a discussion is not just to air diverse points of view, but instead to go on until it is clear that everyone has learned something and moved somewhere in his or her thinking.

I believe that that's where learning happens. Sometimes when children are having snack and they find themselves discussing different ideas and somehow get stuck in rigidity of thinking. It's worth spending more time to understand different perspectives and see that most of the things are not only black and white but there's a a range of different colors that make our lives so colorful.

    3. “facilitate”

I have always questioned this label that teachers receive, a facilitator. We don't want to smooth children's way because we know they are capable of so much but our intentions should be to create more complexity and therefore expand their learning.

    4. With the help of the teacher, the question or observation of one child leads others to explore territory never encountered, perhaps never even suspected. This is genuine co-action of children

I can't agree more with that statement. I notice this co-action of children when boys ang girls are part of the group. Suddenly, the unicorn is traveling to Saturn because the Earth is exploding and sparkles will fly everywhere.

    1. The teachers began to wonder what children thought about rights

Cracking open a word and see what understanding children have of the word is a great way to start a conversation.

    1. We can never think of the child in the abstract. Whenwe think about a child, when we pull out a child tolook at, that child is already tightly connected andlinked to a certain reality of the world — she hasrelationships and experiences.

Each child enriches the group so much. New ideas and theories are formed. The status quo is challenged as well as stereotypes and bias.

    2. There’s a difference between the environmentthat you are able to build based on a preconceivedimage of the child and the environment that you canbuild that is based on the child you see in front of yo

I have a child in my class that repeatedly said that was bored. We noticed that this child loves embellishments and is very attracted to beauty. My colleague and I introduced her beads and necklace making. She loves creating necklaces and gifts to her family and friends. We are going deeper in the concept of beauty and functionality. Others were inspired to join her and the subject is getting very meaningful and deep.

I believe when we are researchers, our job is so much more interesting and exciting. The narrative we use makes a big difference.
