Not all of us can be our authentic selves in every classroom without monitoring the plurality of voices that we have; each authentic, real, and felt in a different way.

There can be tangible risks if you’re in a same gender relationship, a poly relationship, unmarried with a child, queer, etc.

Don’t squash their academic freedom unless they’re being a bigot – bigotry is not a freedom, it’s a character defect.
