    1. But again I am thankful to God that some noble souls from the ranks of organized religion have broken loose from the paralyzing chains of conformity and joined us as active partners in the struggle for freedom.

The descriptive word paralyzing creates imagery that portrays a life vs. death situation. He has been so courageous in defending himself and others in order to gain freedom.

    1. In 2011, researchers reported that cannabis reduces pain and inflammation, and promotes sleep, which may help relieve pain and discomfort for people with rheumatoid arthritis.Researchers of the rheumatology units at several hospitals gave their patients Sativex, a cannabinoid-based pain-relieving medicine. After two weeks, patients on Sativex had a significant reduction in pain, and improved better sleep quality compared to placebo users.

Although cannabis helps alleviate pain, cannabis can also become addictive and users may not be able to sleep without it. Any drug is addictive and if misused, it can become lethal. Some may argue that the good characteristics of this drug can weigh out the bad, but at this point I'm still against legalizing it.

    2. The outcome was rather positive, the cells had decreased Id-1 expression, and were less aggressive spreaders. In fact, the American Association for Cancer Research has found that marijuana actually works to slow down tumor growth in brain, breast, and lungs considerately.

How effective is marijuana at slowing down tumor growth? Some might argue that even with this evidence, marijuana doesn't possess enough properties to cure cancer, so why should it be legalized?

    1. But perhaps the best reason to legalize hard drugs is that people who wish to consume them have the same liberty to determine their own well-being as those who consume alcohol, or marijuana, or anything else. In a free society, the presumption must always be that individuals, not government, get to decide what is in their own best interest.

This statement about society not being able to control individuals in society is true and they should be able to take responsibility for their actions. Whether their decisions are good or bad, hard drugs are definitely worse than marijuana because of their highly addictive tendencies. However, drug addiction is a serious aspect of the world that affects various families all over the world.

    2. What's more, prohibition creates health risks that wouldn't exist in a legal market. Because prohibition raises heroin prices, users have a greater incentive to inject because this offers a bigger bang for the buck. Plus, prohibition generates restrictions on the sale of clean needles (because this might "send the wrong message"). Many users therefore share contaminated needles, which transmit HIV, Hepatitis C, and other blood-borne diseases.

If prohibition raises prices of hard drugs such as cocaine, heroin, and meth, doesn't it make sense that so-called "abusive users" wouldn't use as much? With higher prices, users can't get as much of their drug of choice as they used to be able to.
