    1. The time is ripe for designers to start questioning how they incorporate gender sensitivity into their work.

      Isn't this idea of softness incorporated into design only furthering the notion that women are "more sensitive" and "less capable" than men? Shouldn't women's imports be valued for what they are rather than how they contrast the men's?

      This sentence goes back to the main purpose of this essay. The holistic, open space approach allows students to have a respite from their typical environment. By providing them with the outdoors and nature they can escape the stresses they face in the overwhelming parts of their day.

    1. uding Lessig—have begun to consider the built environment’s regulatory role. Regulation through architecture is just as powerful as law, but it is less explicit, less identifiable, and less familiar to courts, legislators, and the general public

      This allows people in positions of power and wealth to manipulate the city to their advantage. They can legally make the area they occupy more exclusive and only cater to the people they wish to be there.

    2. This happens right here in DC. Georgetown can only be accessed by the metrobus. The metro does not go into that part of the city. Keeping it a more affluent and exclusive part of the city.
