      I feel as though this stereotype has recently been turned on its head. As more households have two working parents they split responsibilities much more evenly.

      This shows how when a little girl imitates "male behavior" she will still be considered cute, but for boys imitating "female behavior" there is usually some type of reprimanding and shame.

      This is very true. The cultural shift of the idea of a trans-man is significant and has shown a positive shift towards acceptance.

      While I can understand where the author is coming from, I think this is an overstatement. It seems like a very pessimistic way to view the history of humanity as a whole. As if for all of human history people haven't been able to "run a decent race" because of societal expectations.
