    1. This article investigates the genre of quilt labels, examining how culturaland individual meaning, intention, and style contribute to the creativeexpression of this seemingly simple text

I enjoy the way physical things often times can be used to help understand certain ideas in writing. It can be used as a reminder when writing and I I feel as if it makes it easier when learning. After it explained different ways people us quilt labels and I think it's a great metaphor as we relate it to CHAT.

    2. y. Label information also indicates thepopularity of methods and fabrics, interests and concerns of quiltmaker

Based on what the author has already explained, quilt labels provide lots of info for the analyzer in a small patch. Whether it's an artifact or a gift the quilt label says a lot about the origins which is why it is so useful.

This was one -of the hardest parts of learning ASL just because its so different from what we know, the subject comes before the adjectives or story so the person being signed to doesn't have to question what is being explained or described, i found this interesting but it makes sense.

    2. Learning sign language has been incredibly impactful in my

I took three years of sign language in nigh school and it may have been one of the best decisions I could have made, working as a server while knowing ASL is so amazing to me and every interaction has been such a teachable moment. I also find it very entertaining amongst a group of friends who know ASL the deaf community is so inviting and willing to help you learn.

This is something that is important to a lot of different people who want to be seen in America. I think it's very important for kids growing up with aspirations and even adults for them to see people who look like them.

    2. Since before middle school most US students have been taught that theUnited States is a “melting pot” of ethnicity and culture.

I clearly remember learning this analogy in a social studies class, especially when learning about immigration.

This is something that just came up with my friends and I, we were talking about when we send each other TikTok's we think are funny, but we don't actually laugh out loud how we still send lol because it's so normalized.

I found this really funny because I myself do this exact example, with reading it this way it made me laugh because it's to the point where I didn't even realize how often I do.

    1. Most of the respondents seemed to believe that theshow creates lots of drama between the contestants

I'm a big fan of "The Bachelor" and have been for multiple seasons and spinoffs, drama is definitely what keeps the show going and keeps it interesting. Every episode something big happens between the contestants and at the end you are shown a preview of the next episode which exaggerates a problem with them to keep you waiting and excited for the next episode to come out the next week.

    2. I don’t know about you, but that would make me go crazy!

I definitely agree with his, as someone who gets bored very easily without my phone or something to keep me busy, I would definitely go crazy because I'd always be looking for something to do.

    1. So what the Rhetorical Triangle has going for it, in part, is that the threeparts are always findable—there’s a speaker/writer and some kind of audience(although you should see the rhetors get worked up about whether a story youtell yourself could be rhetorical . . . think about it), and there is a purpose, some situation that requires some kind of text (spoken, written, visual).

I remember using a version of this in high school English class while reading multiple different novels to establish different characters jobs in the stories.

    2. Another thing you might notice in the next image (Figure 12) is thatwhile some aspects of CHAT generate a lot of questions, or tasks to complete, other aspects seems less important to me, either because I’m not in charge of thatpart of the activity or I already know what I need to know to accomplish the task.

I like the way this could help you stay organized; it becomes a good visual, so everything is laid out and in one place. You could mark things you completed or highlight what you need to prioritize.

    1. Are there any other ways that you communicate with other people?

I like that this is one of the questions she decided to ask because I know a lot of students including myself question the classes we are taking especially as a freshman taking gen eds. It's easy to question where we will use the information, we are learning daily, so as a student at ISU or any college at that where a COM class is required, Capan asking Ashley this question is very useful for students wondering the same thing such as "when will I ever need to know this when I go into the professional work world?"

    2. I’m in charge of our Instagram account, and I oversee all of our[\]LMV\:ML)TMZ\[WKQITUMLQI;

I find it very interesting to learn about who runs things i often use on campus. My friends and i have been to many athletic events and follow multiple athletic Instagram accounts. It's very cool to hear about what goes into these things and actually see who runs these kinds of things.

    1. Existential Crisis – The mental breakdown that results when somethingforces you to question the very foundations of life, the universe, and everything.

This is something me and my friends like to say we are experiencing. We exaggerate situations when we experience a slight inconvenience throughout our day. Even though we are nowhere close to actually partaking in one it's something we like to joke about when that's how we feel.

    2. Angela doesn’t like driving.

I can relate to this, because even though I drive now I wasn't very fond of the idea of it and would much rather be the passenger than the driver in most situations.

    1. Kevin discussed his personal experience with writingsome comments on an anniversary card that didn’t produce the result heimagined.

I found this portion of the discussion very relatable. Whether its writing for a class or even sending a text message sometimes it can be so hard to find the right words to make a point. Your mind can flow with ideas, and it can still be hard for the right words to be expressed.

This sentence stood out to me because it shows the diversity in writing for different people. The little writing Kevin does in his notebook versus the writing ideas Anya has in apps shows the many ways people can keep their ideas for writings to stay organized. This also proves that it will look different for many people. Personally, I am like Anya and use apps to stay organized and to put my ideas.
