      I think this is a great assignment and so vital. One can't know their students without knowing themselves. Without reflecting on who we are, we don't know how we are the same and how we are different than our students and their families.

      My school is definitely guilty of this. Our parents are very active and it's often seen as a competition of which parents are more or the most involved in the school activities. It's almost like the parents need to stop judging each other, too.

      This is so interesting! My family values togetherness and my husband's family values autonomy. I never articulated that before and it's so cool to see it here in black and white. Families can be so different.

      This totally makes sense. As teachers, we are expected to wear a lot of different hats, and good research by psychologists is bound to be useful to us!
