    1. The pleasure of learning of knowing and understanding is one of the most important and basic feelings that each child expects to receive from the experience he or she is living through: either alone, with other children or with adults.

Yes! To see a child's eyes as you observe them figuring things out is amazing. When they accomplish a goal or even find out a new way of thinking about that object, they are living to learn.

    2. Two teachers per classroom as co-teacher

This is what we are working towards in our school. I feel like if you have 2 dedicated teachers in the classroom, you will be able to reach the stars with the children's ideas. I love that the two teachers will be able to work together to really understand the why behind the work that the children are doing.

    3. all children from 3 years to 6 years of age.

This would be AMAZING if we had that here in the USA. This shows how important education is and how much they value it. I teach in Union Public Schools in Tulsa, OK and we are open to Low income families for 3's and then its free for ages 4 and up. In Florida where I came from we didn't have free education until Kindergarten!

    1. A broad range of documentation (videos, tape recordings, written notes, etc

I have found this to be so true through our documentation class. I love being able to try out all of these ideas in the classroom. I have found that video is truly my favorite so far.

    2. This concept of a context of multiple listening overturns the traditional teaching-learning relationship. The focus shifts to learning -children's self-learning, and the learning achieved by the group of children and adults together

This is what I have been trying to say without the words being put together like this. This is the perfect statement to what we need to preach to our fellow teachers. Open up the learning space, communicate and truly listen! Children will learn so much more if they are a part of the process!

    3. Listening should welcome and be open todifferences, recognizing the value of the other's point of view and interpretation

This is a very interesting things to think about. Most of the time we are thinking of what we want to say before the other person is even finished with their statement. If we are truly listening to another person's point of view we need time to think about what they are saying and internalize it.

    1. en the child is observed, the child is happy — it’salm

I have found this to be so true! The kids in my class have started carrying around clipboards and "writing words" to describe what they are observing of their peers. If I sit by a friend most of the time they sit up straight and ask if I'm writing their words. When you bring out the camera they ask if you are taking pictures to post on our Today We so they can show their moms or dads what they did that day.

    1. The important aspect is not just to promotethe education of the child but the health and happi-ness of the child as well

YES! We have forgotten this in the US and we have so many unhealthy kids! The children need to be children and find themselves in the forest as well as the adults helping to find them in the forest. We need to work together to create a healthy place for the children so they are loved.

    2. Children are very sensitive and can see andsense very quickly the spirit of what is going onamong the adults in their world.

I find this to be true in our classroom. They come inside the room and almost take a pause before entering our building. It's like they are feeling out the space and the adults that occupy it. We have a lot of trauma children that come in our building so we see that if the adults can give the sense of calmness it gives them the peace they need. We have talked many times about leaving our worries at home and just be with the children. They can read adults though!
