So I think in a lot of ways, it's kind of as close as they can get to, like, Indian fast food while still being obviously part of American culture.
This never occurred to me. When I read the headline for the article, I just assumed there wasn't any real connection between Taco Bell and South Asian culture. The idea that it's a connection to fast food in India while still remaining connected to American culture opens up my thinking about this.
