    1. These beliefs regarding race and class shaped whether they saw students’ digital skills as valuable or no

      As educators one must be able to step back from stereotypes and prejudices against their students. The way they view their groups of students would affect the education, resources, and opportunities their students can access. Reading the article I was shocked and disturbed by the comments educators had made towards their students.

      Our educational system has large amounts of social injustices. This causes limited room for students of different subordinate groups to prosper and grow in educational settings. Society often pushes asides or does not question enough the why and how these students keep experiencing inequities in physical or virtual classroom settings

    1. Does the tool connect content to real world examples? Students need to know how to apply what they learn to their daily lives.

      It is important as educator to make sure educational tools can be apply to real life situations. This makes learning more valuable for students since it would further enhance their skills inside and outside of the classrooms. It makes learning more entertaining and meaningful for students.

      This YouTube video made me realize the importance of Bloom's Taxonomy in educational settings. This makes it easy for us educators to help student's growth in educational and even informal settings. This type of learning styles encourages different types of knowledge and cognitive thinking. It is something that is used throughout different areas in our lives.

    1. Teachers can provide many different options in terms of the assistive technology tools that are available, but the usage of these tools should not be mandatory if one objective is to promote student autonomy.

      This is something that I would appreciate if educators implemented more in their classrooms. It is important to see which AI tools are the most effective and safe for students, while also giving them the choice to to use what it is more comfortable for them. I am glad that this is something implemented into our course.

    1. Camera Mouse is a free downloadable software that allows the user to control the mouse pointer using the camera on their computer by moving their head.

      I am glad the reading pointed out this useful tool for individuals who cannot use mouses. This can make learning easier and accessible, therefore encouraging students to stay motivated and make their learning experience much enjoyable. This is a tool that I will keep in mind and further research.

    2. When students are able to select and use characters and icons that represent their culture, race, and other identifying features, they will feel empowered rather than invisible

      This is something I would love to implement into classroom settings. It can be very encouraging for children to see individuals similar to them.

      This is a genuine concern that it is not often thought or does not necessarily come up in our minds as we try to find the best resources for our students.

    4. This simple, but effective, user interface makes it easy for the user to focus their attention on the design project.

      The idea of "Less is More" is such a great thing to implement into classroom and professional settings. I am glad to see that there are people who agree with this idea. It can truly be overwhelming for students and educators to have an overload of information and settings in a single web page. Personally, it can make it very difficult for me to focus, keep track of my goal, and accomplished the assignment.

    1. Hypermediality is achieved by providing multiple forms of media (audio, video, and textual communication channels), as well as the ability to organize lessons in a non-sequential way.

      This is such an important technique in classroom settings since it would give students the chance to engage and learn material in ways that make them feel comfortable. This is the one that must stuck out to me out of all the previous ones presented to us.

    1. Digital tools and apps can inspire creativity, support critical thinking and problem solving, transport students to virtual worlds, and offer students new learning experiences never before possible.

      Before being introduced to a variety of different tools and apps for education or even reading this chapter it was difficult for me to imagine the amount of specific and useful tools out there. These apps and tools are a great way for educators and students to engage and further develop their creativity. These new learning experiences might help students improve in their academics, creativity, and ways of studying and/or learning.
