    1. any articles judged by curators to be unreliable or poorly sourced, whether left-leaning or right-leaning, were avoided, though this was a personal judgment call.

This is frustrating considering the fact that this course has taught us that the authors responsible for these posts want engagement and platforms simply encouraged this.

    2. Researchers are still debating the extent of the impact on the 2016 election.

    1. Wong quit taking BOO and told the head of her Facebook group, a higher-ranked seller who earned commission off Wong’s participation, about her new pains. When asked why she didn’t alert others, Wong said the group administrators, BOO sellers themselves, censored the comments to weed out anything negative. “They’d never let me post that,” she said.

This truly demonstrates profit over customer welfare This is clear evidence that this product, even if effective for some, may cause issues in others. Not only is the company spreading unsupported misinformation regarding their product, they are also ignoring the negative effects that this may have on their user base.

    2. Put more simply, the product is dirt — four-and-a-half ounces of it, sealed in a sleek black plastic baggie and sold for $110 plus shipping. Wear it. Bathe in it.”

A header on a site that is marketing something that makes these types of statements immediately raises red flags. Generally, any form of miracle cure that can be consumed, worn, bathed in, etc. should be investigated a bit further. It is concerning that individuals who purchased the product considered viral TikTok videos to be totally credible evidence in support of this product. In reality, products such as these should have evidence supported by doctors, even if said doctors specialize in holistic medicine.
