I like to do this so I can read the section and grasp what the author is saying and make my own annotations before reading what everyone else has to say about the section that I just read. This way I can keep my thought more organized and on topic since I'm not going back and forth between sections.

I like getting to read annotations for this reason. I get to see what other people are thinking when they read something and I feel like it helps me to widen my own perspective by understanding someone else's thoughts.

I love having annotations in my Bible because very often when I have a question about something, there's an answer just like this.

I've always done annotations with other people over a reading like this, but I've never really thought of it as a group thing or that there was much social about it, so this is an interesting perspective.
