      Is modern technology a form of art? I would argue yes, especially because there is an entire aesthetics aspect to developing technology. At the same time, technology's sole purpose and function is not to make art. I'd be interested to explore this concept further.

    2. We cannot define religion as a coffee pot and expect tomake progress investigating the features of religion.

      This is an interesting example of how we cannot define things as anything we want to call them, especially if we expect productive outcomes. Just because you call a thing by a certain definition does not mean it will actually be that thing. It's a dead end to say a religion is defined as a coffee pot, there is nothing more to explore there.
