    1. The imagination can be a powerful tool for students to develop their critical faculties, but we must also think carefully about what the ultimate aim is of these imaginative exercises.

      I think this is interesting because the deeper I dive into imagination or trying to create the life I want in my head the easier it is to getting there. I wonder how many people in the past studied these techniques and actually used their imagination as a tool... or I guess everyone has becuase it all starts with an idea. Right?

      I really wonder why philosophy is not more of a large field that people want to study. I is useful to the human race but I guess most of us underlook it and always want to pick what is most successful "money" wise?

    3. Many of my students come from minority, low-income, or immigrant communities; some all three. They are strivers – seeking an education in order to become health professionals, teachers, engineers, or lawyers while holding onto jobs and taking care of families.

      I see this as a way to connect with the reader and give credibility to the author. It shows experience and variety when it comes to facing different types of backgrounds.
