      Even though Rowlandson is tired and her body is starting to shut down, her will spirit continues to strive.

      This statement is ironic because wether the Natives or English were winning each party celebrated or mourned over events - who won or lost.

      Rowlandon's narrative helps depict that a war has sprung out against Natives, but the reader is still unable to pinpoint which war.

      Though there are many myths about Columbus thinking the world was flat, these accusations are false.       The reason Columbus day is heavily celebrated by Italians is due to the fact that the conquistador, Columbus was an Italian man living in Spain. However, years later many historians have advocated that Columbus had actually found "America" and is the first founder of our land.

      Thanks to the European settlers who ventured into the New World many Natives were killed off. At first when Europeans had settled into the New World they had contaminated Natives with their germs and later on used this tactic to reduce their numbers. Europeans even went as far as to gift Natives blankets that were rubbed against dead corpses so that the population would decline even faster.

      Knowing how the Europeans and Spaniards treated the Natives, its no mystery why Natives disregard Columbus day. Though people celebrate Columbus for finding America, many individuals disregard the fact that indigenous people were treated badly. Columbus and his crew manipulated and forced Natives to worship Christianity. As well as enslave many tribes to do their bidding - mine for gold, give up women, satisfy their needs, and etc.

    5. Later, while serving as the governor of Hispaniola, he allegedly imposed barbaric forms of punishment, including torture.

      The reason Columbus and his crew would brutally mistreat Natives was to reduce their will spirit to fight and eliminate told accustoms. The objective of doing this was to break the Natives into submission so that Columbus and his crew could benefit - earning the king's respect.
