The habitations of all things which dwell,Were burnt for beacons; cities were consum'd,

The habitations of all things which dwell,Were burnt for beacons; cities were consum'd,
The houses were burnt in order to make light ?

When you know that you have forgotten , sometimes people are quick to try and remember what they had lost . As I feel Coleridge felt when try to remember what he thought about to write in his poem . Describing Tom Dacre's shaven head as a lamb's helps emphasis the innocence of the young children who had to work in these jobs. Also , it shows the lamb and the children having the same innocence as they both came from god.
