Basically as a continuation of the last commentary, Adam and Tashi finally return here, and so this is the point where everything is back to normal again. They say dear instead of dearest in the opening of the letters again, and also it just feels like while they might not be completely recovered yet, they're getting there, and it's mainly thanks to Adam since he still had a little more hope than Tashi did.

I had a couple thoughts, one was that it goes from saying dear to dearest, which might show that the letters at this point between Celie and Nettie mean a little more to each other than they did earlier on, and also they have never "searched" quite as much as they have at this point to try to save Tashi. They basically felt like they needed to do something about Tashi but they knew that it was going to be a little more difficult than stuff like this has been previously.

It basically feels incomplete here without Pa. This is considered to be a big deal since it hasn't happened often, which is why they have to match at least up to a certain extent. It feels like it would be so long, yet so worth it for them, so they really feel like the fact that it's been forever is making them think about Pa harder than usual.

It seems like Harpo isn't quite okay because of Sofia, meanwhile Squeak isn't quite okay because of Harpo. This shows Squeaks strength that I addressed in my character letter, and it also shows Harpo's sense of insecureness when a moment like this is occurring.

I think this is kind of strange to think about because she looks like she's half her size, but she's still strong. This goes to show that just because you don't look like it, you still could be very strong or very weak. It really depends on you. When I read this passage, it made me think about the letter I wrote. From the voice of Mary Agnes, I'm writing this letter trying to convince God that I'm not the same type of character that God thought of me as, even though I know that no matter what happens, God will still probably think of me as squeak, but you never know.

Dear God, I feel like you might have made me born with the wrong name. I don’t feel like a mouse anymore. I honestly don’t know why you even exist in my life anymore. You seem to think of me as Squeak STILL even after I’ve spoken up in such a manipulative manner. The amount I’ve spoken up and made my voice heard, seems like I am someone stronger than the way you’re trying to make Harpo think of me, but in reality, I want you to know that you have a weak characteristic of your own for failing to realize that I’m NOT the weak, squeaky singer that you’ve always wanted to think I was. With that said, while I am losing hope, I hope you start to realize it, but if not then I’m going to be considered this fake Squeak forever, which is the last thing I want. Please consider this idea carefully before making such a decision like that one.
